SALEM - Born in Eureka, California, Eric and his family moved to Salem in 1984. In 1992 Eric’s grandfather started Sheltie Acres, where Eric helped raise the Shelties. He had a love for all things living.

Eric attended College Park Christian Academy for three years, where he met his wife, Wendy; he married Wendy Sanders on June 14, 2003. His last three years of schooling were completed at Willamette Valley Christian School.

He worked for McGrath’s Fish House in downtown Salem for about five years. Eric was presently working for Willamette Valley Transport. His hobbies included video games and working on cars, and he had a passion for driving. He also left behind two Shelties that he had since they were puppies, Trooper, 14 and Pepper, 9.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Arthur ‘Bud’ Barlow. He is survived by his wife, Wendy; parents, Craig and Brenda Yung; sister, Natasha; and grandmother, Alene Barlow, all of Salem.
